Action The action occurs in a flat of Martha and Mary. On a stage Mary, reads a Bible. A bell in a door. The Mary continues to read.
Martha enters.
Mary, Mary! Well how much it is possible to read a Bible?! Or you did not hear, a bell ? Go open, for my hands are in a flour. And help me, I have no time!. /Pause/ Oh, my dough!!!
Martha escapes.
Mary: Martha, Martha /shaking a head /
Mary leaves stage to open a door. The women enter, greeting the owner.
Later everyone take seats at a table.
Deborah starts assembly.
Deborah:ok sisters, we shall begin our assembly. On the agenda a question: « How to involve the men in church? » /Pause/Suggestions of the sisters.
Esther: I offer to take a fast!
Martha: Well Esther, as soon as there’s a problem we have a fast! /touch herself on a stomach /
Martha leaves for a dish.
Esther:But You see this works! You know all my history: when my uncle has not bowed to Haman, and that was arranged so, that king has signed the decree about destruction of all our people. We had taken a fast for 3 days, we ate nothing for tree days, and nights. And God has given us a favor in the eyes of king.
Martha with pies runs in.
Martha: But You see the way to the heart of man lays through a stomach!
Esther: We take fast but not they!
Martha: /leaving/ Oh-Oh-Oh!
Deborah: Anything else?
Mary: And let’s send Rebekkah to the well!
Everyone laugh.
Мария: but It works too.
Deborah: sisters! sisters! let’s be more serious.
Ruth: may I speak?
Deborah: Please, Ruth.
Ruth: In due time, my mother – in – law, have offered me to go on a field, when we had neither bread, nor man, which would take care of us. And I collected grain in a field, after harvesters
Martha comes back.
Martha: So what about field? /Pause/ А-а, understood. Let’s collect a grain, smash it, bake pies and make a party! The men love it!
Ruth: No Martha! I have told it as an image.
Mary: I understood you, Ruth. « Ask The Lord of harvest, that he would sent the doers in a field! » – as Jesus told?
Ruth: Yes, Mary.Other words, I suggest an evangelism!
Mary: «the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. »
Miriam: But it seems, that the men do not love when women teach them!
Deborah: well, Miriam, suggest the plan.
Miriam: I suggest to make the large holiday, festival, as when Moses inferred us from Egypt. We passed the sea as overland, because God has divided waters of the Red sea and inferred us from slavery. Then we, together with girls, danced, and begun to sing a song of pleasure, about God – our Saviour. All have taken tambourines, sang also it was so cheerfully, so great, what even men could not stand, and were dancing with us!
Deborah: Well, well, it seems all had time to suggest.
Esther: And you, Deborah, what would you do?
Deborah: As I see, it is spiritual battle, and we should win the men. To stand in praier for them!
Mary: /approach to edge of a stage / But maybe to us it is necessary simply to serve them, to love the men as they were created by God. And with our pure and godly lives, without the words, to win the men for the Lord.
Esther: to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,
Martha: speak with wisdom, and faithful instruction on our tongues.
Deborah: be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Miriam: In all to rely on the Lord, and cheerfully look in the future.
Ruth: Because Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised!
