This short skit is a humorous way to introduce the subject of “giving.” It could be used right before your next offering. You might want to follow it
Actors:
Three people who work together, but who attend three different churches.
Action:
#1: Boy, I’m sure glad it’s payday. I’ve got a lot of bills to pay this week.
#2: Yeah, me too. I sure could use a raise. Then I could give more to the church. Right now, I can’t hardly give any!
#3: Me neither. By the way, guys, how do you decide how much to give to God and how much to keep for yourself?
#1: Well, first I cash my paycheck. Then I draw a circle on the ground and throw all my money up into the air. Whatever lands inside the circle is God’s. What lands outside the circle is mine.
#2: Oh really? Well, I do just the opposite. I draw a circle on the ground (draws a large imaginary circle on the floor), throw all my money up in the air, and what lands outside the circle is God’s; inside the circle, I keep.
#3: Well, I do it a little differently. I don’t draw a circle at all. I throw all my money up in the air, and whatever God wants, he takes. Whatever comes back down, that’s mine.
