Equipment The pieces of armor are the following: Helmet of Salvation, Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Feet Shod with the Readiness of the Gospel, Shield of Faith, and finally, the Sword of the Spirit.
Action One person puts on armor, one piece at a time, as the narrator tells a story of a fencing match between a new Christian and Satan. The new Christian starts out each day with an additional piece of armor. The same thing happens each time: Satan attacks in an area that isn’t covered with protective armor. The results are all the same: The Christian returns home tired and wounded. He finally goes out with the whole armor of God and puts up a very good fight. Just as the Devil is about to win again, the narrator reminds him that he forgot his sword. The Christian draws a fake sword and says, “Greater is he that is in me, than he that is in the world.” Satan runs away and the Christian relates that the Word of God as a sword will triumph over the evil one.
